Century Capital Partners has a seasoned team of investment professionals with significant experience in the industries in which we invest. Prior to joining Century, several members of the team enjoyed distinguished careers in the financial services sector. One team member was the founder and CEO of an insurance company, another was a FIG-focused investment banker, and others worked as private equity professionals focused on financial services. On average, the team’s senior professionals have more than 25 years of industry or investment experience.

Mr. Bazos, a Managing Director of Century Capital Partners, has more than 19 years of private equity experience, primarily in the financial and health care services sectors. After eight years with TA Associates and ABN-AMRO Private Equity, Mr. Bazos became a Managing Director to Century Capital Partners in 1998 and then rejoined the firm in 2006 after two years with North Atlantic Capital. Mr. Bazos serves or has served on the board of several Century investments including Jones DesLauriers Group of Companies, Inc.; Catalina Holdings (Bermuda) Ltd.; Insystems Technologies, Inc.; Asset Allocation and Management Company, LLC; and UHY Advisors. Mr. Bazos earned a BA degree from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Fulkerson, a Managing Director of Century Capital Partners, joined Century in 1996 and is also the Managing Partner of Century Capital Management and a Trustee of the Century Funds. Mr. Fulkerson has more than 19 years of financial services and investment experience. Mr. Fulkerson currently serves on the Board of Directors of Forethought Financial Group, Inc.; eReinsure, Inc.; and iArchives, Inc. He previously held board seats at Rewards Plus of America Corporation, Cyrus Re, and Asset Allocation and Management Company, LLC. Prior to joining Century, Mr. Fulkerson held positions in the interest rate derivative products area at BankBoston, in the High Yield group at 1838 Investment Advisors, and in Corporate Finance at Bank of America. He earned a BA degree from Williams College and earned a Masters degree in Management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Mr. Kline, a Managing Director of Century Capital Partners, joined Century in 2003 and has more than 25 years experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Digital Risk, LLC; Integro, Ltd.; and Cyrus Reinsurance Ltd. He also serves as President of the Board of Trustees of the North Bennet Street School. In 1998, Mr. Kline became the founding CEO of the Homesite Group, a successful nationwide homeowners insurer based in Boston. In 1993, he co-founded CAT Limited (CAT) and Hamilton Services in a private equity funding led by Morgan Stanley. Mr. Kline served as President of CAT, the reinsurer, and Chairman of Hamilton Services which provided analytics and pricing products to the insurance industry. CAT also formed the financial risk reinsurer, Enterprise Re, with Chubb, Morgan Stanley and GE as co-investors. CAT and Hamilton Services were sold to the ACE Group in 1997, and Enterprise was sold to the Imagine Group in 1999. Mr. Kline became co-CEO of ACE Capital Products after the sale of CAT. Previously, as a Managing Director of Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC, Mr. Kline negotiated risk transfer reinsurance contracts for major insurers both domestically and internationally. Mr. Kline earned a BBA from Southern Methodist University and an MBA in Finance, Accounting and International Business from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.

Mr. Sherwood, a Managing Director of Century Capital Partners, joined Century in 2007 with 22 years experience in investment banking focused on the financial services industry. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Digital Risk, LLC and Jones DesLauriers Group of Companies, Inc. Prior to joining Century, Mr. Sherwood was a Managing Director at Lehman Brothers and Global Chairman of the Financial Institutions Group in the investment banking division. He served as a senior relationship manager for a variety of clients in the United States, Europe, and Asia. From 1999 to 2007, he was responsible for managing the group, first in the U.S., and beginning in 2001, in Europe and Asia as well. During this time period, he also served as a member of the Executive Committee of investment banking. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers in 1999, Mr. Sherwood worked for 12 years at Merrill Lynch, where he was a Managing Director and regional sector head for the financial services group. During his career, Mr. Sherwood has worked on a wide range of strategic and capital-raising transactions for all types of financial services companies. Mr. Sherwood holds a BA from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Mr. Roux, an Associate of Century Capital Partners, joined Century in 2011. Prior to joining Century, Mr. Roux was an Associate with Silverwood Partners, where he advised clients on M&A, corporate divestiture, and private placement transactions across multiple industries, including technology, financial services, and healthcare. Previously, he was an Analyst at Meketa Investment Group. Mr. Roux earned a B.S. in Economics and Finance, summa cum laude, from Bentley University. Mr. Roux is a CFA charterholder.

Mr. Vecchio, a Managing Director of Century Capital Partners, joined Century in 2005 and has more than 20 years experience in private equity investing and investment banking in insurance and health care services. Mr. Vecchio currently serves on the board of Ascension Insurance Holdings, LLC. Prior to joining Century, Mr. Vecchio was a Partner at Conning Capital Partners, a private equity fund specializing in financial services and health care services. During Mr. Vecchio’s 12-year tenure at Conning, he concentrated on making investments in property-casualty insurers, outsourcing firms servicing insurance clients, and health care service providers. In his capacity as an investor, Mr. Vecchio served on numerous boards as a director or observer including Arlberg Holdings Company, Inc.; Cogent Health Care, Inc.; Familymeds, Inc.; Home Financial Network, NYMAGIC, Inc.; Paradigm Health Care; Paula Financial; and Ward North America, Inc. Prior to Conning, Mr. Vecchio held investment banking positions with The Firemark Group and Nesbitt Thompson Securities, Inc. Mr. Vecchio is a board member of the state association and Co-President of the Hartford chapter of the Connecticut Venture Group. Mr. Vecchio earned an AB degree from Middlebury College and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Lalonde, a Principal of Century Capital Partners, joined the firm in 2002. Mr. Lalonde has more than 12 years experience in various financial operating roles and private equity investing. Prior to joining Century as an Associate, Mr. Lalonde was an Analyst with Lucent Venture Partners and a graduate of Lucent Technologies’ Financial Leadership Development Program where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and held various other corporate finance positions both domestically and internationally. While with Century Capital, Mr. Lalonde has been actively involved with the firm’s investments in Asset Allocation and Management Company, LLC; iArchives/Footnote; and UHY Advisors, Inc. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of Thompson Insurance Enterprises, LLC and Digital Risk, LLC. Mr. Lalonde earned a BA in Economics from Boston College and a Masters in Accounting, Entrepreneurial Finance and Strategic Cost Management from Babson College.

Mr. Marquardt, a Principal of Century Capital Partners, joined Century in 2004 as an Associate. After three years with Century, Mr. Marquardt departed to attend business school before returning to Century in 2009 as a Principal. Mr. Marquardt is active in sourcing and executing new investment opportunities and assisting with managing various portfolio companies. In addition to his tenure at Century, Mr. Marquardt spent a summer in the Private Equity Group of Lehman Brothers and spent four years at PricewaterhouseCoopers where, as a Senior Associate, he provided transaction related tax advisory consulting services. Mr. Marquardt earned a BA in Business Administration from Merrimack College and a Masters in Business Administration from MIT Sloan School of Management.

Mr. Kaplan, an Associate of Century Capital Partners, joined Century in 2010. Prior to joining Century, Mr. Kaplan was a Senior Analyst in the Investment Banking division of Raymond James, working within the Business, Financial and Technology Services; Financial Institutions; and M&A Groups. Previously, Mr. Kaplan was an Analyst at Lane, Berry & Co., a middle-market M&A investment bank acquired by Raymond James in 2009. Mr. Kaplan received his B.S. in Management, magna cum laude, with a dual concentration in finance and economics from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.

Mr. MacLaughlan, joined Century Capital Partners in 2010 as Chief Financial Officer of the Private Equity Group. He is responsible for all aspects of the Private Equity Group’s financial and operational activities. Before joining Century Capital, he led the finance and operational activities of the venture capital and private equity arms of 3i Technology Partners (the US subsidiary of London-based 3i Group plc) and CMG@Ventures, Inc. Prior to his work in venture capital and private equity, Mr. MacLaughlan served in several financial management positions at CMGI, Inc. Mr. MacLaughlan began his career with Ernst & Young LLP in Boston where he earned his CPA as a manager in the audit and assurance practice. He earned a BA in Economics/Accounting from the College of the Holy Cross and is a member of the Private Equity CFO Organization.

Lord Ashton of Hyde (Henry), a Senior Advisor of Century Capital Partners, is currently Chairman & CEO of Faraday Underwriting Ltd, Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary General Re's Lloyd's of London Underwriter, and Faraday Reinsurance Co. Mr. Booth, a Senior Advisor of Century Capital Partners, is Vice Chairman of Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC, a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. He is involved with strategic development, operational performance and developing key client and industry relationships.
Mr. Booth retired as Chairman of HSB Group on March 31, 2009, upon the Company’s sale to Munich Re. Mr. Booth was President and Chief Executive Officer of HSB Group from January 2000 through June 2007. He served as Chairman from March 2000 to March 31, 2009.
In October 2008, Mr. Booth was appointed Vice Chairman of HSB’s parent company, American International Group, to work with the company’s new CEO and the Federal Government to lead a restructuring of the company’s corporate operations and oversee the separation of companies being sold by AIG. He retired from this position on April 8, 2009, after completing several significant strategic and operational restructurings of corporate operations.
Before joining HSB, Mr. Booth was Executive Vice President and a Director of Phoenix Home Life Mutual Insurance Company. Prior to joining Phoenix, Mr. Booth was President, Chief Operating Officer and a Director of The Travelers Corporation.
Mr. Booth is a member of the boards of Northeast Utilities Inc. and WorldBusiness Capital, Inc. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of Century Capital Management, LLC. He is a board member of the National Association of Corporate Directors – Connecticut Chapter.
He is a recipient of the United Way Community Service Award, the Junior Achievement Hall of Fame Award, the Urban League’s Founders’ Award, National Conference for Community and Justice Human relations Award, the Boy Scout Distinguished Citizen’s Award, the Girl Scout Man of Merit Award, the State of Connecticut Distinguished Advocate for the Arts Award and an honorary doctorate from the University of Hartford. He was recently inducted into the University of Hartford’s Barney School of Business Hall of Fame.
Mr. Booth is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Connecticut Society of CPAs, the Hartford Society of Financial Analysts, the Society of Financial Service Professionals and the Association for Investment Management & Research. He served on the Board of the FASB Advisory Council from 2004 – 2008.

Frank V. McMahon, a Senior Advisor of Century Capital Partners, joined Century Capital as a Senior Advisor in 2010. Mr. McMahon is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in the financial services and information technology industries. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of First American Information Solutions, a leading provider of data, analytics and outsourcing services with over $2 billion in annual revenue and over 12,000 employees worldwide. Mr. McMahon had previously served as Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of The First American Corporation, where he was responsible for financial reporting, investor relations, mergers and acquisitions and oversaw the company’s banking and non-title insurance operations. Prior to joining First American, Mr. McMahon worked for 20 years as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch, where he specialized in financial services with a particular focus on asset management companies. Mr. McMahon received his MBA from Duke University and earned a Bachelors degree from Villanova University.

Jim Foreman, a Senior Advisor of Century Capital Partners, joined Century Capital as a Senior Advisor in 2010. Mr. Foreman brings over 25 years of experience as a senior executive in the healthcare industry. He is currently the Managing Director, North America at the newly-formed Towers Watson & Company (“Towers Watson”, NYSE: TW), and a member of its Executive Committee. Mr. Foreman had held a variety of senior executive positions within the legacy firm Towers Perrin, including Managing Director of the Human Capital Group and the Health and Welfare business, respectively. He had also previously served as the Executive Vice President of National Businesses and as a member of the Executive Committee at Aetna, Inc., where he was responsible for national accounts, global benefits, Medicaid and group insurance. Mr. Foreman earned a bachelors degree in Business-Economics from UCLA and also studied International Business at the University of Melbourne.
